Erin Bachman, LSW, LADC, Program Manager for the Gables, discussed the importance of extended care treatment, skill development, and recovery-supportive housing in a television news story on Rochester television station KIMT3 News. The Gables is a NUWAY Alliance residential treatment program in Rochester providing evidence-based medium-intensity residential treatment to people identifying as women.
According to the story, the Federal government identifies Rochester as a high-intensity drug trafficking area, and the city council is considering a $40,000 grant to help address the issue. The station visited the Gables and interviewed Bachman to get perspectives from a behavioral healthcare professional who understands the complex nature of addictive disorders and that part of effectively addressing community drug and alcohol problems requires effective treatment options. The Gables, which is part of NUWAY Alliance, is celebrating 40 years of providing compassionate, comprehensive residential treatment for women in Rochester and surrounding communities.
