Stephen graduated with his Master’s in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota. He obtained his LADC in 2018 and LPCC in 2020. He has had many roles with NUWAY and NUWAY Alliance, including primary counselor at 2118 NUWAY, program manager at 2118 NUWAY and 3Rs NUWAY, senior program manager at St Paul NUWAY, and currently program director at Cochran Recovery Services. His primary areas of clinical interest are substance use disorders and co-occurring post-traumatic stress disorder. He is a certified clinician in Prolonged Exposure therapy and has experience facilitating trauma skills psychoeducation groups.
