Birgitte Eppel, MA, LMFT, LADC

Practicum SupervisorBirgitte is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has her BS in Alcohol and Drug Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Prior to joining NUWAY, Birgitte worked at Park Avenue Center for 8 years as an internship supervisor and as a clinical supervisor of mental health services. Prior to that, she worked for 4.5 years as a primary counselor working in an adolescent residential treatment center. Birgitte continues to work as an adjunct faculty in member at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Birgitte is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Approved Supervisor as well as a BBHT Approved supervisor for LADCs and LPCC candidates. Her passions include training, supervision, working with co-occurring disorders, networking, and couples and therapy with high-conflict/high-needs systems. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, concerts, and spending time on the lake.
