The relocation of the NUWAY — Rochester Counseling Center, an intensive outpatient program treating Rochester-area adults for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, received additional news coverage in a feature by television news station KIMT3.
The center is being forced to relocate because its current location is being sold for development. Fortunately for current and future clients, the move into an available building belonging to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, located at 1884 22nd St. NW, allows treatment continuity and expansion. NUWAY Alliance Chief Community Relations Officer Monique Bourgeois cites that many people turn to religious organizations when seeking advice and treatment resources and calls the move a “win-win for the church and for NUWAY — Rochester Counseling Center.”
