NUWAY’s Alex Vigil recently shared his story of hope and recovery with KARE 11. In the interview, Vigil, who ran the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, recounts his journey from substance use disorder and suicidal ideation to recovery and newfound purpose as a caregiver helping others. Vigil credits Minnesota’s recovery-supportive resources for helping to turn his life around. Now, Vigil helps other people access treatment, the continuum of care, and community-based resources, allowing them to find improved health, quality of life, and recovery.
