Today, NUWAY Alliance announces the acquisition of Ramsey County Care Center, which will become the new home of Cochran Recovery Services (CRS). NUWAY Alliance began managing CRS in 2019 when financial pressures threatened the program’s closure and the loss of much-needed gender-specific residential treatment for men. NUWAY Alliance began seeking a new location for CRS after being informed that its landlord, the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, would be redeveloping the property.
Relocating CRS to the Ramsey County Care Center, located at 2000 White Bear Avenue in Maplewood, greatly expands the number of people Cochran Recovery Services can treat. The new location is expected to open in December, and the current treatment provided by CRS will be uninterrupted.
